Good Friday

Okay, confession time: I made a playlist called “Good Friday” and it has almost nothing to do with the actual holiday. No hymns, no solemn vibes, just fourteen tracks that somehow always manage to flip my mood from “eh” to “hey, today’s not so bad.”

I threw it together because some days you just need music that feels like a little pick-me-up. You know the kind—songs that make you nod your head, maybe crack a smile, or even do that embarrassing little shoulder dance when no one’s watching. This playlist is basically my secret weapon for turning a regular Friday into a Good Friday, no matter what the calendar says.

There’s rowdy punk energy that makes you want to bang your head (in a friendly way). There’s that smooth, feel-good groove that hits like sunshine coming through the window. A couple of tracks that are pure chaotic fun with wild videos that somehow make everything better. You’ve got soulful voices that feel warm and uplifting, a bit of heavy riff action that wakes you up, and even a few moments of pure silly joy that are impossible to stay grumpy through.

What I love most is how random the whole thing feels, yet it flows like one big mood booster. One minute you’re grinning at a ridiculous music video, the next you’re singing along to something that just feels happy in your bones. It’s the musical equivalent of someone handing you a cold drink and saying “relax, it’s all good.”

If your Friday is dragging, or you just want to stack the deck in favor of a better day, give this playlist a spin. Fourteen little bursts of positivity that don’t take themselves too seriously. No deep thoughts required—just press play and let the good vibes do their thing.

Who knows, maybe by the end of it you’ll agree: every Friday can be a Good Friday with the right soundtrack.
